Terms of Service

This is a draft Terms of Service prepared for pre-launch review. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and should not be treated as a final, binding document until that review is complete.
1. Using Escape AI
By creating an account, you agree to use Escape AI in accordance with these terms and any applicable law. You're responsible for the content you submit, including code and files you choose to index for retrieval.
2. Plans and billing
Free plan usage limits (messages per day, RAG projects, and knowledge sources) are shown in your account settings. Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time; you retain access through the end of your current billing period.
3. Cancellation policy
You can cancel a paid Pro or Team subscription at any time from Settings → Billing, or by contacting support@escape-ai.org. Cancellation stops future billing; you keep access to your paid plan through the end of the billing period you already paid for, then your account reverts to the Free plan.
4. Refund policy
Charges already billed are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused usage. If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a billing system fault), contact support@escape-ai.org within 14 days of the charge and we will review it. Refunds outside this policy may be granted at our discretion or as required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Escape AI to:
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
- Submit content you don't have the right to share with a third-party AI provider.
- Abuse rate limits, plan enforcement, or attempt to circumvent usage caps.
6. AI-generated content
Escape AI's chat and code-generation features are powered by third-party AI providers (OpenAI by default, Gemini as an opt-in option). AI-generated output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use, particularly for production code changes.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice before taking effect.
